Solo and Ensemble came and went and RMS really impressed the judges. 27 students participated and 28 medals were earned. Only one student earned a 2nd division. All others were awarded a 1st division. Schools typically do not take a group to UIL solo and ensemble and walk away one person short of a clean sweep. We didn't need it but we have it; yet one more reason why it is a great day to be a member of the Revere Band.

March 18 Sectionals start. It is impossible to make up sectionals. Do not miss sectionals
March 23 RMS jazz band at jazz festival
April 12 wind ensemble (symphonic band's top 50) - HISD concert and sight-reading contest at Waltrip HS; time to be announced
April 26 wind ensemble, concert band and jazz band compete in Music in the Parks festival @ Westside HS; time to be announced
April 27 first 100 band students from either concert band or symphonic band to be paid up on trip fees will go to San Antonio Fiesta Texas for the day.
May 2 wind ensemble to UIL concert and sight-reading contest in Brenham
May 8 RMS bands spring concert and awards night; RMS auditorium @ 7:00 pm
May 23 Symphonic band performing at administration building; it's supposed to be a really big deal with lots of important people listening. we should probably make sure we sound pretty good that day.
