Las Americas Middle School was awarded a $140,000 grant to host the 21st Century Community Learning Center (CLC) to the students of Las Americas and Kaleidoscope Middle School. The 21st Century CLC is an after school program that allows the students to remain on campus until 6:30 p.m. in a safe, supervised environment at no additional cost to the parents. The students are able to participate in after school activities such as guitar lessons,
hip-hop dancing, yoga, soccer, volleyball, girl’s club, art, mad science, English language instruction, and homework help. The 21st Century After School Program will be offered again during the 2008-2009 academic school year.
