Jackson Leopards Vanguard- To Believe Is To Achieve:
We Can't Hide That Leopard Pride!
Academic Rigor
The Jackson Middle School Vanguard is a facet of the Magnet Schools
program for the Houston Independent School District. The Program provides
gifted and talented students from within the H.I.S.D. family with
accelerated, challenging, differentiated, and a stimulating academic
curriculum. The program envisions achievable success for all students with
these special strengths and needs. The Jackson Vanguard Program recognizes sixth, seventh, and eighth grade students who show outstanding ability in one or more areas, including academic achievement, intellectual capacity, creative or productive thinking, leadership, or special talent. All students are engaged in differentiated instruction using depth, complexity, and pacing in the core curriculum with opportunities for advancement for high school credits.

Our Vision
Our belief is that all students can and will learn when instilled with high expectations. It is also our belief that every student, faculty and staff member must be technologically equipped to make our school a vision of the future. Through commitment and involvement of the community, parents, students, and school staff, that mission will be fulfilled. Every member of the Jackson family serves as a community relations agent to promote the excellent services and achievements of our school.
