Fondren’s Academic Interventions
Before the instructional day
Tuesdays & Thursdays 7:30- 8:25 Science “Morning Chicken Breakfast Club”
Beginning February 2, 2010. Focus: Mandatory for Tier II “YELLOW”[average
performing (65%-79%)]. Teachers will focus on Science Objectives I, II, & V for
five days each. Six days will be saved for comprehensive review.
During the instructional day
On February 8, 2010 Fondren Faculty
will begin the Response to Intervention (RtI) focusing on the following
testing areas:
8th Grade- Science, Math,
English & Social Studies
7th Grade- Writing, Math,
& Reading
8th Grade- Math, &
Reading
Parents/Guardians
will be notified if their student will be pulled from elective classes.
After the
instructional day
Tuesdays & Thursdays 4:00- 6:00 ELA “Literacy & Writing Camp”
The Fondren Special
Education Department & 7th Grade teachers have implemented the FMS Literacy
Camp for students who are having difficulties in reading and writing.
