Hi! I’m Mr. Pineda, the 7th grade English teacher for the Quetzal Cluster.  I look forward to a marvelous school year of learning together.  It is a great adventure to work here at Burbank Middle School.

I was born in Mexico and moved to Houston in 1988. I graduated from the University of Houston-Downtown with a Bachelor's Degree in Professional Writing. I’m certified in English and ESL for Secondary Education.

 

My goal is to prepare students for the TAKS exam and for their life beyond high school.   My belief is that all students can learn.  I encourage parents to get involved in their child's education by checking their child's work at home, and encouraging their child to make good decisions for class.

 

Some of my hobbies are: Reading, writing, and learning to use new technology. 

I am available for conferences during A3 and B4 class periods (except Wednesdays).
