Greetings! My name is Angel Kirby, and I’m elated to be a part of the Burbank family. Professionally, I have served the HISD Community for 12 years in various capacities, including Elementary Teacher, Instructional Coordinator, High School Dean of Students, and now—Middle School Dean of Instruction.   

Educationally, I am a proud alumna of Madison High School in HISD.  Upon high school graduation, I attended Prairie View A&M University and earned a BA in Mass Communications.  I returned to school and earned my M.Ed in Education Administration from the University of Phoenix.    

During my personal time, I enjoy spending time with my son and husband, playing fantasy football, and event planning.  My philosophy on life is to live every day like it’s my last, and my favorite quote is: “There are no office hours for leaders.”-Author Unknown
