I am Puerto Rican, born and raised on the Island. In 2002, I earned a Masters Degree in Psychology from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico. That same year, I joined Teach for America and relocated to the Rio Grande Valley, TX after teaching in The Bronx, NY as part of their training program. In 2004, I earned a second Masters Degree in Education from the University of Texas – Pan American, where I also completed the requirements for the Educational Leadership program. I have served in the education system as a teacher, an extra-curricular activities sponsor, and an administrator. The diverse range of experiences I've had has led me to understand that every student can and will succeed.
I am very
excited to join the Burbank community for a promising 2007-2008 school
year, and I look forward to working with all of you as we
partner together to ensure our students' success.
