LIGHTS ON STEVENSON !!!
Oct. 9, 2003 was the Nation's Largest Afterschool Rally Ever! Lights On Afterschool!, the only nationwide event celebrating afterschool, aims to bring attention to the need for afterschool programs that keep kids safe, help working families, and improve academic achievement.
Stevenson Middle School was honored to be chosen as the site for Houston's celebration! We had over 250 guests including dignitaries and guests from Harris County Department of Education. We dined on a catered dinner of roasted chicken, rice, beans and dessert. We thank all of our teachers, faculty, staff and students for participating in the program.
