Parent Educator-Project Reconnect
Our Parent Seminar: Supporting the Student Who Does Not Like To Read provided the parents with methods they can use at home to help their children develop reading skills, enjoy reading, and make reading a family activity. They were provided with website information, how to use the newspaper, and the importance of continuing to read at home and together when the child goes on to middle school and high school.

We closed the session by providing them with a demonstration on how to read a book, using excitement and enthusiasm in our tone. The parents thoroughly enjoyed the seminar.
