Self-Portrait “Self Portraits” is a project about identity. We used our own names as a springboard to explore the elements and principles of design. By uniting our names and visual images into a personal theme, these works show how we see ourselves. Hurricane Ike We are pattern oriented creatures: the earth, cycles of nature, animals and people live and breath in patterns. Hurricane Ike left us out-of-sync. Sometimes Mother Nature is cruel and inhumane. These student artworks are dedicated to those who suffered the wrath of Hurricane Ike, fall, 2008.
