Francis Scott Key Middle School recognizes, accepts and accommodates for the unique developmental characteristics of our students. This is done by creating a school culture of “family” and providing a rigorous academic curriculum. Within our rigorous academic curriculum, various researched instructional strategies are incorporated. Our organizational/ curricular structure includes a departmentalize system, a wide selection of elective offerings with emphasis on technology and many extracurricular activities.

F.S. Key received accountability rating from the Texas Education Agency as being a ‘Recognized’ School for the 2008- 2009 year.

I am looking forward to an amazing school year filled with noteworthy academic success.  Therefore, I have passionately committed to collaborating with students, parents, teachers and the community to ensure that Key Middle School consistently propels toward "EXEMPLARY" status. I undoubtedly believe that every child is capable of learning and experiencing academic success, and my daily mission is to assist in creating this reality for every student.
