My name is Jamie Showalter and this is my first year at Burbank. I am a 6th and 7th grade social studies teacher in the Longhorn cluster. I am so excited to be teaching here! I was raised in Tucson, Arizona and graduated from the University of Arizona in 2003. After graduating I moved to Houston. I love it here and am so proud to be a Texan.
My teaching philosophy is simple. I believe that every child can be successful. It is my job as your teacher to do whatever I can to help to achieve all your goals. I am passionate about teaching and I know that this is going to be a great year at Burbank.
