My name is Jamie Showalter, and this is my third year at Burbank Middle School. I am a 7th and 8th grade History teacher in the Dingo cluster. I am excited to be back at Burbank and am certain that this year will be a success.
I was born in California and raised in Tucson, Arizona. I graduated from the University of Arizona in 2003. After graduating, I moved to Houston. I love Houston—even in the summer!
My teaching philosophy is simple. I believe that every child can be successful. It is my job as your teacher to do whatever I can to help to achieve all of your goals. I am passionate about teaching, and I know that this is going to be a great year at Burbank.
