I graduated from Pan American University now called University of Texas at Pan American in Edinburg Texas. I received a BBA in Accounting. I worked in industry until 1986 and then worked for myself for 4 years. I became a teacher through the ACP program. I worked as a bilingual teacher at Berry Elementary and there found that I loved to teach math. The teachers there were going to PVAMU to learn Algebra to bring it to the Elementary level. I joined them for four summers and received enough credits to be certified to teach math in middle school. Because of this program I was able to be here. I enjoy teaching math. This year I am using several software programs to help my students learn math easier such HELP PROGRAM, Glencoe text book and software, Understanding Math Plus, and Larson’s Middle School Math. In my room have a projector, a document camera, and a computer to help student get the math concepts easier.
