Hi, I am Mr. Miguel Mora-Niño.
I am an English/ ESL Bilingual / 8th
Grade certified teacher in the Cheetah
Cluster at Burbank Middle School.
I am from Bogotá, Colombia and I graduated from
the Universidad
Pedagógica Nacional at Bogotá, in English and French. I
received a
Fulbright Scholarship to pursue my Master’s Degree at Michigan
State University
in East Lansing, Michigan from 1983 to 1984 in the TESOL
Program. I was
also teaching French in the Romance Languages Department at MSU. In 1993
and 1994 I participated in the Fulbright Teacher Exchange
Program in
Denver, Colorado, where I taught Spanish at East High.
I have been teaching English, French, and Spanish
for more than twenty-five
years in Colombia and seven years at HISD. I
have always been very curious
about learning at least greetings in several
languages.
My hobbies are reading and singing, and the kinds
of music I like are classical
and ballads.
