My name is Delores Walker.  I was born and raised here in Houston, Texas.  I come from a very large family.  I have eight sisters and two brothers.    My immediate family consists of my husband and two daughters.  I graduated from high school and went directly into college.  I attended Texas Southern University.  I have a B A Degree in Journalism.  I also attended Prairie View A & M University and I have a M A Degree in Reading Education.
     My desire is to educate our young people.  My personal overview of education is that all children can learn. I want to teach them how to become critical thinkers and good decisions makers.
     My goal is to strategically teach the students in a format whereas all strategies learned, will carry over to all of the class subjects for TAKS as well as their daily lives.
     My life goal is to become a professor.  I want to teach at the university level and to have my own learning academy.
