My
life began in El Paso, Texas in the summer of 1969. After high school I
attended Texas A&M University, where I received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
English. I began my teaching career in Houston in January of 1993 and
became a part of the Burbank family in August of 1997. I’ve spent the last
fourteen years teaching my students the art of language and have enjoyed
each moment. When I’m not teaching or preparing lessons, I enjoy relaxing
with my husband, my four-year-old daughter, Kennedy, and our four spoiled
pets.
As a member of the Tiger Cluster, I work relentlessly
to encourage my students to adhere to academic standards. I challenge them
to complete all assigned tasks according the rubric guidelines, which
includes project specifications and deadlines, and I work diligently to
provide meaningful learning experiences. In addition, organization is an
important criterion for success in the Tiger Cluster and my class. The
more organized the student, the greater the success. I want success for all
of my students.
