Mr. C. Milton is a product of the Houston Independent School District ( Dodson Elementary, Ryan Jr. High, and Jack Yates High schools ) before going on to pursue a double major in English and Journalism at Lincoln University in Pennsylvania. He has held several interesting careers before choosing what he says is his most challenging and yet the most satisfying of them all , Teaching. He attributes his passion for communication, to seeing his first published editorial and his first published essay in the Houston Chronicle , thus convincing a local Houston radio station to sponsor him when he was only 13 years young.
He
admits that his previous work experience
as a Philadelphia newspaper reporter, and then public relations
editor/writer
for
the Bell System in New Jersey and New York, account executive for a
major New York bank and operations manager in Houston’s international
banking circles and at Saks Fifth Avenue, have
given
him enormous
opportunities
to collaborate
with people from all
over the world . His work
experience and graduate work in business at New York University,
health and human performance at the University of Houston and finally
in allied
health at
the University
of Texas, where he received his certification in biomedical
communications and instructional technology have all
provided
him with a richness and depth of perception that he gladly shares with
his students and colleagues and anyone willing
to
listen.
