As our district strives for excellence we
have been required to have all of our staff and students wear and maintain
proper identification. In order to comply with our HISD standards the school
will provide every student with their first identification badge free of charge;
however, if the student looses the ID we will charge the student a $5.00 fee to
replace the identification badge.
Rules and regulations regarding the
IDs:
1)
IDs must be worn at all times.
2)
IDs must be worn by the student it identifies only.
a)
Students can not borrow and or exchange their IDs with anyone.
b)
Students cannot wear an outdated identification badge.
3)
IDs may not be obstructed with any items (i.e. no
stickers, tape, writing, etc.).
4)
IDs are to be carried on a Burbank lanyard and visible
at all times.
5)
Temporary IDs may not be worn over their expiration
date. Temporary IDs will be
sold for $1 and they must be worn on the left side of the student’s
chest.
6) Students will
only be allowed to purchase 3 temporary IDs. After the 3rd temporary ID all
students will be required to purchase a new $5.00 identification badge
and will have after school detention.
7) IDs will only be sold in T-14 from 7:30am to
8:00am. After that time, students will go to the appropriate AP office
and will buy a temporary ID there. These students will be assigned
detention immediately.
8)
Student IDs will be distributed by clusters on the day of textbook
check-out as described in the teacher’s manual for textbook distribution.
Students are not required to pay anything for their first identification
badge.
