1. Homework will be graded.
2. Homework grades will be averaged.
3. Students who do not return to school with their required assignments will be held after school for a 1 hour Homework Clinic.
4. Students who skip Homework Clinic will be assigned SRC.
5. 3 Times in Homework Clinic = student being placed in SRC.
6. 3 Times in SRC will result in Out of School Suspension.
7. After out of school suspension students will have required Saturday detention.
Students who do not show up for Saturday will have notices delivered by the police officer.
President Bush signed new guidelines for schools. The new standards are tough. Your child cannot be ready for the next level without extra practice, help, and your active involvement. We have provided calendars/school planners for every child. Parents are required to initial the calendars every night to verify they saw completed homework. If your child came home without homework call 713-696-2720 and ask to speak to the teacher. Students who are retained often end up dropping out of school. Our middle school students are still children. They need strong parenting. We must require the best from them. I believe in your child. We must work together so that they will not fall between the cracks.
