Upcoming Events Houston Ballet Visits BMS The Houston Ballet will be coming to Black Middle School to teach a Master Class Series in Creative Movement and Modern Dance. The series will be from November 10th - 24th, 2008. Students in the dance program will be taking classes in modern dance and creative movement from Laura Ely. This is a great opportunity for our students. See the Dance page for great pictures of the classes. 8th Grade Parent/Student Dinner The parent/student dinner is this Thursday, November 20th, in the cafeteria at 5:30pm. Language Arts Family Night The ELA Family Night will be after the dinner Thursday at 6:30 in the cafeteria. 6th Grade Science Fair The Science Fair is Wednesday & Thursday, November 19th & 20th in the 6th Grade Academy. The students have been working very hard & the projects are on display in the academy. Habitat If you have recently passed by Black Middle School, you may have noticed a lot of activity on the Lamonte St. side of our campus. A team of dedicated teachers have spent the past year planning and developing a nature area next to the Annex Building. We are fortunate to now have a beautiful campus habitat that includes newly planted vegetation and a pond with an observation pier. The next phase includes benches for an outdoor classroom area.
