The magnet program at Attucks Middle School
offers exploratory, discovery, and enrichment studies in the basic core
courses. Certain curriculum modules incorporate interdisciplinary
activities in the areas of math, science, social studies, and language
arts.
The program is structured as a School Within A School (SWAS) that offers
special progress in mathematics and science for eligible students where high
school graduation credits are acquired.
The use of multimedia technology is
incorporated throughout all course-work. Technology is used to enhance the
curriculum in both the classroom and the lab facilities. Industrial
technology, computer technology, art, music/band, drama/dance, and sports
are included as part of the student's total instructional program.
